Learning to be Flexible

This week was unfortunately one of those weeks that threw me for a loop. It followed Labor Day weekend, meaning we all started work on a Tuesday. There’s something about starting work on a Tuesday that really makes me feel I’ve started off on the wrong foot.

It was a low-productivity week, in my eyes. However, low productivity does NOT equal no productivity. Take that, inner critic.

Anyways, let’s get to the highlight reel of what I did for work this week:

Reached out to 50+ people on Linkedin

Drafted a blog outline

Created the following meme:

Wrote two newsletter emails

Built out and designed templates of a slide deck using PowerPoint that will be used in a video course

Did a complete walkthrough/audit of a website to find errors

Continued building out a newsletter in MailChimp

Designed this social media post

What I learned in class:

Downloaded and installed Hyper

Downloaded and installed Node JS

Learned the following back-end code (taken straight from my notes):

  • ls = list
  • cd = enter a file
  • touch = create a file
  • mkdir = make directory/folder
  • rm = delete file
  • rm ~r = remove directory/file
  • ~a = open with x software

And that concludes this week’s adventure. Tune it next week so see what else I’ll be up to.
