Putting Out Fires

Hello, again!

Wow. I genuinely can’t believe it’s Friday already…

The week went so slowly yet so quickly. Many unexpected things turned up and I had to adapt on the fly. Such is life as a Freelancer.

However, I’m ready for the weekend – to sit back and aimlessly wonder for two days (yikes, called myself out there).

Before we dive in, I have one more exciting piece of news – starting on October 31st, I will be joining Cole Schafer (aka Honey Copy) in his email course, How to write articles that will make your readers fall in love with you. I just happened to squeeze in and snag what he calls his “Recession Special”. Each day of the class, 31 days, costs $1. But the sale only lasted for one day. As of today, it costs $2 dollars a day. Tomorrow, it will cost $3.

As much as I dislike spending money and, even more than that, making hasty purchasing decisions, this was one of those moments where I ran to grab my debit card.

So starting next Friday, there should be some fun new items in the “what I learned in class” segment.

But that’s not today! Now, on to the work week.

What I did for work this week.

-Researched like mad.

-Moved copy into the dashboard of the ThriveCart course.

-Designed the images for said-course.

-Scheduled several posts using Buffer.

-Scheduled posts using FaceBook scheduling.

-Wrote four new FaceBook/LinkedIn posts

-Created an email sequence skeleton on ConvertKit.

-Drafted copy for two upsell pages.

-Designed a draft of a blog banner.

-Sent out the latest MailChimp Newsletter.

-More VA scheduling things (Notion, Squarespace).

-Had a great interview with a potential future client at a fantastic company (even if nothing comes of it, we had a lovely conversation)

What I learned in class this week.
